SOME POLITICAL PARTIES IN SIERRA LEONE ARE NOTHING BUT A SCHEME.

Close to the 2012 general election in Sierra Leone Mohamed Bangura of the UDM openly declare for Ernest Bai Koroma and the APC,but before that most people in the country believe Mohamed Bangura was not only and agent of political corruption but UDM was formed and sponsored by the  APC to give them leverage in election negotiations to get majority of parties on their side if need be.In most countries including Sierra Leone crooks who want to live freely of off the emotions of democracy form parties and use the political system to scheme their countries resources, most of these countries once a party is registered they are rewarded  with campaign resources at the expense of  the genuine and credible parties. Democracy is not measured by the number of parties a country can produce but by the credibility of the system that register those parties.

The Sierra Leone parliament with the help of the political party  registrations and the constitutional review committee  should find away to stop this scheme and come out with a fair and sensible method to qualify a party to be registered and gain election resources and deter corruption and waste of much needed resources  for elections which is critical for Sierra Leone democracy.
In the last Elections ten political parties registered, nine party leaders were on the ballot, only two parties got above one and half percent of the vote casts and these are the only two parties that are represented in parliament, it a waste of resources to fund a political scheme.
I well know there will be a push back to restore sanity in the political system in Sierra Leone, and I well know in democracy every citizen of age have the right to form a party but a party have the burden of proof to be viable as a party and not a political scheme.
