THE ELECTION WAS PEACEFUL BUT NOT FREE AND FAIR AND 2007 SHOULD BE A PRECEDENT

BALLOT BOX.
I will first congratulate all Sierra Leoneans for the November 17th elections for showing the whole world that the only thing the country need is better institutions, although the election was peaceful but it was not free and fair in totality. When it come to light all should demand justice, and to hold those who are responsible for tainting the good effort of Sierra Leoneans.
According to sources in Freetown there were a lot of election malpractices and intimidation's especially in the north, western area and Kono.In the northern province village elders were called by the APC leaders and warned they will bear the wrath of the party if they were to lose in there areas of their leadership. In some areas in the north actual registered voters will go to their polling stations to find out they already voted, and they have no cause to complain since these poll workers know their intended candidate and these worker never even fear for over voting in these areas. In some areas  voter registrations were missing but election officials allowed people to vote once they have identification cards.
In some areas in the north, western area and Kono ballots were stuffed.People were ferried from border areas to vote without being in voter registration list, most of these areas either their were no opposition observers or were threatened to leave after they show up.Some reports in Kambia  area there were disturbances after those who were transported from Guinea find out they were abandoned after they voted, and they have no way of going back to their children as soon as they would like to.With all these the election the election was peaceful but not free and fair.
CHRISTIANA THORPE.
The people of Sierra Leone is looking to NEC and Christiana Thorpe for the result, all eye are open wide if the 2007 elections was  not a way to help the then opposition APC to power it should be a precedent, and she will look carefully into these concern and do the right thing by disqualifying any result in any place that got more than the registered number of people in that area,or to disqualify any place that does not have a voter registration and any other election malpractices that will taint the outcome of the elections.
