On his inauguration speech President Ernest Bai Koroma called on citizens to desist from actions that threatened to divide the country "we should all be working now as one united body for the good of our nation by safeguarding our republic,strengthening our Government and building new institutions," he said . "we must all be ready now to embrace change.Change in our attitude towards one another,change in our attitude to our work and responsibilities and change in attitude towards our nation." and he said these should translate positively into progress and development of the country to a jubilant crowd of supporters.i was hopeful but skeptical knowing the track record of APC.My hope dashed away when the APC Government block the delivery of medical shipment for the Bo and Kono government hospitals.

Every one no this is the way the APC do their business,in the seventies and eightieths this is their tactics to intimidate and brain wash members of the opposition and all Sierra Leoneans to kill multi party and democracy,John Benjamin the SLPP chairman is helping them to destroy the democratic process that was lost during the APC years and regain in the SLPP years in power.That's he they try to ignore the laws guiding the election of flag bearer instead he called on a seating and they muddled the process ,which some members were not satisfy with because it does not favour their ambitions and they have to go to court for injunction to stop the election of a flag bearer.This does not only cast a doubt on the SLPP party but resulted in the decline of support for the party,giving the APC clear path for their agenda one party system.
After the dust is settle the only way for the SLPP to get back on their footing is to make sure a candidate is choosing not for geographical back ground ,wealth,gender or tribal connection but a candidate who will beat all the odds and unite the party for the general election as there is no time to waste.for the APC they will go all out to divide the country in their pursuit of one party state and that is the unity they envision.
